Our Story

Cosmoholic is the creation of makeup industry vet Jody Cohen, who was always confused (and kind of annoyed) that she had to use both lipstick and lip gloss to get the color and shine that she wanted on her clients and on herself.

Jody started her career in beauty as a makeup artist in New York City, where she worked in TV (as a style consultant for The Today Show), in live events, and in magazines. She knows retail well too, having worked at SCOOP NYC, a high-end, multi-location clothing store, where she fell in love with retail and the business behind the beauty.

Jody figured if she could marry her passions – makeup and retail – then she could surely find a way to marry lipstick and lip gloss.  Jody partnered with a team of chemists to create Cosmoholic, a unique line of liquid lipsticks that go on like lip gloss, but have the pigment of a lipstick.  Today, Cosmoholic is available in 7 highly pigmented shades.
